Is the present Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples (“Propaganda Fide”). The “Propaganda Fide” oversees the Church’s “mission territories” in about 23 Easter Catholic churches and communities worldwide; he is also a member of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See. Cardinal Tagle is presently the President of Caritas Internationalis.

        Cardinal Tagle holds Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy (1973) and Master of Arts in Theology (1982) from the Ateneo de Manila University and Loyola School of Theology & San Jose Seminary, Quezon City; Licentiate in Sacred Theology (S.Th.L.) in 1987 and Doctor in Sacred Theology (S.Th.D.) in 1991 from The Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., USA.
